We love pairing fruit with cheese... why not throw it on a burger?!
What you'll need:
-1/2 lb to 2/3 lb ground turkey meat
-2 kaiser rolls
-1 garlic clove, minced
-1 thick onion slice, diced
-5 basil leaves, minced
-5 oregano sprigs, minced
-1/4 tsp. onion powder
-1/4 tsp. garlic powder
-1/4 tsp. salt
-1/4 tsp. ground pepper
-1/4 tsp. dried parsley
-1 tbsp. sour cream
-3 tbsp. canned cranberry
-some crumbled goat cheese for topping
-some spinach for topping
-red onion for topping
What to do:
Combine ground turkey, garlic, diced onion, basil, oregano, onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Shape into two patties and grill.
Combine sour cream and cranberry sauce in a small bowl.
Brown rolls, face up, under broiler for 1-2 minutes.
Assemble cranberry mixture, spinach, goat cheese and onion as you like on top of your burgers.
For the Chips:
We just took some basic potato chips, added crumbled blue cheese, drizzled on our favorite barbecue sauce, and broiled for 2 minutes. Great addition to any burger or sandwich!
I love cranberry and turkey, especially during any other time than thanksgiving! Salads are great (I love spinach, shredded turkey, almond, and dried cranberries).
